Steel Grating Treads are constructed with specific additional reinforcement and extra safety adjustments. The serrated surface helps to provide additional traction. Each features a nosing attached to the leading edge for increased edge visibility and slip resistance.
Used in many architectural, commercial, and industrial applications, safe, and slip resistant grating treads are available in many styles.Available in steel, aluminum, or stainless steel, grating treads are fabricated with a standard 1-1/4″wide, visibly defined, slip-resistant nosing. Pre-punched end carrier plates or carrier angles facilitate prompt installation.

Steel Grating Treads Introduction
Steel grating treads are available fabricated to any size in type “WS” welded, type “DTS” dovetail pressure locked, or type “SLS” swage locked grating. Treads are manufactured with a defined visible nosing and pre-punched end carrier plates or angles, ready for bolting or welding to the grating stringers.

Steel Grating Tread carrier angles are recommend for use with 8 and 7 spaced grating grating treads.
Steel Grating Treads Nosing Options
Checker Plate Nosing: Nosing is welded to grating stair tread and carrier plates/angles.
Cast Abrasive Nosing: Cast abrasive nosing is mechanically fasted to welded mounting angle.
FRP Nosing: Fiberglass slip-resistant nosing is mechanically fasted to a welded mounting angle.
